Movie lovers are filling theaters again thanks to the fuel provided by Project Hail Mary. Here are several flicks to be released in 2026 that could be just as theater-worthy.
MOTHER MARY

A rock star cracks under the immense pressure of a world tour and takes a hiatus from the. madness, reconnecting with her past. This psychological drama, directed by David Lowery, stars a very busy Anne Hathaway, who also stars in two other movies out later this year. In theaters April 17.
THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2

Director David Frankel is crossing his fingers that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will ride on the fashionable coattails of its predecessor all the way to box office success. Die hard fans of 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada will surely flock to theaters to see this stylized sequel, starring Meryl Streep (wearing her signature Anna-Wintour-resting-bitch-face), Anne Hathaway (like we said…busy!) Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. In theaters May 1.
DISCLOSURE DAY

He’s baaaaacckk…Steven Spielberg returns with his new alien film, Disclosure Day, the plot of which has been fiercely guarded and shrouded in mystery. What we do know is that it’s about the global reaction to first contact. Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor and Colin Firth. In theaters June 12.
GAIL DAUGHTRY AND THE CELEBRITY SEX PASS

A bride-to-be seeks out her celebrity crush for revenge when she discovers her fiancé has used his “hall pass” to sleep with another Hollywood star. Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass stars Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Zoey Deutch and Ken Marino. The flick, directed by David Wain, was a darling at the Sundance Film Festival and has been described as a love letter to Hollywood. In theaters July 10.
THE DOG STARS

Prolific director Ridley Scott returns with The Dog Stars, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi about a pandemic that destroys humanity (is that really science fiction?). Jacob Elordi stars as a pilot who survives but must battle roaming scavengers. Josh Brolin and Margaret Qualley also star. In theaters August 28.
VERITY

Author Colleen Hoover is having a Hollywood moment. Four of her novels have been snatched up for films: It Ends With Us, Regretting You, Reminders of Him and now, Verity. Michael Showalter (The Eyes of Tammy Faye) directs this romantic thriller about a ghost writer hired by a hunky widower to complete the unfinished novel of his dead wife. Cue the jealous ghosts! Starring Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett and Anne Hathaway (take a vacay, Anne!). In theaters October 2.
DIGGER

Tom Cruise! Jesse Plemons! John Goodman! Sandra Huëller! The tagline: “A Comedy of Catastrophic Proportions.” That’s about all we. know about the movie Digger, the plot and details of which are being guarded like the crown jewels. In an interview, Jesse Plemons compared it to Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb. Ok, I’m in. Digger hits theaters October 2.
THE SOCIAL RECKONING

Aaron Sorkin returns as writer/director of The Social Reckoning, the sequel to 2010’s The Social Network (which he also wrote). The Social Reckoning revolves around the events following whistleblower Frances Haugen’s disclosures of Facebook’s unethical/illegal practices and the consequential aftermath to Mark Zuckerberg and the granny-loving platform. Starring Jeremy Strong as Zuckerberg, Mikey Madison as Haugen and Jeremy Allen White as Jeff Horwitz. In theaters October 9.
